Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Is Coming.

The biggest game in the world returns soon. At least that’s the message in the latest issue of Official PlayStation Magazine. In a teaser for its July issue, the magazine depicts a large “3″, hinting at none other than Modern Warfare 3. We all knew it was coming, right?

Voice actor Craig Fairbrass had previously hinted that a Modern Warfare 3 announcement was imminent.

“I did Call of Duty: Modern Warfare as Gaz and then I did Ghost in Modern Warfare 2, which has become one of the more iconic figures in the history of computer games, which is great,” Fairbrass said during a radio interview.

“And I’ve just been out in LA doing something that’s going to be announced in May,” he added. “I’ve just been out there doing some bits and pieces, and one is to do with… I can’t say too much.”

Obviously we knew this was coming, so no new surprise. Question is, how will it turn out now that the games major talent left IW and started their own dev studio? Will the Online FPS torch be handed to EA with Battlefield 3?

You can do that now...just hold the prone button as you jump off the building. itl send you to the crouched position first for only a fraction of a second, and then lay you into prone.

	What I Notice:

	1. The title / emblem system is back

	2. Custom red dot sights?

	3. Explosive Arrows work like faster Semtex

	4. Knives can now be spring-loaded

	5. I haven't seen remote control explosive cars since GTA3!

	6. Large explosions are FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC!!

	7. Slower, more maneuverable cruise missiles allow you to hunt for your prey.

	8. Remote Thermal Camera's allow you to have eyes in the back of your head.

	9. Replay editing built into game engine...let those awesome kill cams and custom trailers start!

They might only be partially correct, if a supposed casting call for actors for the game is anything to go by.

The call, spotted by VG247, is looking for four actors to provide a mixture of voice work, facial capture and full-body motion stuff for the game. Interestingly, it also gives some background on the characters, and while some of them suggest that there'll be action in South Vietnam, others - like the female spy Kristina Ivanova, who speaks both English and Russian and "has a network of contacts behind the iron curtain" - hint at a larger scope for the game, perhaps touching on areas of the Cold War outside South East Asia.

That is, if the call is legit.

We've got in touch with Activision for comment on this, and will update if we hear back from them.

your thinking the old school motion capture...where they used ping pong balls to reflect infrared light into infrared cameras that would track the movement. There cheap so there common, but they can only track 1-2 people at a time, can only see whats in front of one camera at a time, and when a ball passes behind the body, its tracking is lost since the camera can't see it.

Magnetic sensors can track up to 5 people and when used with a series of sensors, can recreate the scene in full 3d from every angle, and even when a magnetic sensor passes behind a person...out of view from all cameras...its still being tracked because its magnetic, and not infrared...so it dosn't rely on line of sight.

And with live mocap they act out the scene like there doing a play...with studio recording (boom mics) to overlay the animation with. All started with The Getaway, and Uncharted uses the same tech.

Im not sure, because doesnt MoCap use the little balls/markers on peoples faces? This doesnt and the voice acting is recorded as they are doing it as opposed to being added in later.

I hate to burst your bubble man, but it sounds like there just doing live mocap. Motion Capture mixed with acting. They put the actors into a mocap suit (magnetic) and have them act out the scene in a stage with all the props (guns, beer bottles, doors, etc) and they act out the scene. Their voices would be recoreded as they act out, and in the end it would be put into a 3d model, textured, lighted, and used as a cutscene. . This is nothing new....many games have done this, and i think the first was The Getaway.

	http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSUWjM6OX7U

Obviously the graphics are old, but the animation for each character and between other characters and objects is spot on. And now that James Cameron created the Emocap (capturing the emotions on actors faces), that seems like the next logical step.

I have no doubt that it will look fantastic, but the acting out a cutscene for animation is nothing new.

NOIR (The best thing to happen to gamig since GTA)

L.A. NOIR is the newest creation by ROCKSTAR (of Grand Theft Auto fame). I'm using the word "creation" in a very literal sense. A new technology developed by Depth Analysis (a sister company) is capturing human performances just as a filmmaker would...... but instead of movie footage, they come away with fully animated 3D models. Some of you may not comprehend what this means exactly, but I assure you it is truly as amazing as landing on the moon was in the 60's. There is also an enormous amount of script in the game (2,000 pages worth of dialogue; an hour long tv show show only has 50!) and 140 interiors (inside of buildings, many of which are even multi-level). This new technology could actually do away with some peoples jobs (animators, even though now you will TRULY be able to read facial expressions of the characters; apparently this will play a big role in the game also, meaning you will NEED to read peoples expressions and make choices based on that alone.) or at least cut back some hours. Either way, better games will always be welcome. A cast of over 300 actors was used for the making of this game, so it looks like some jobs were also created (voice acting anyone?).

This is a crime-solving/C.S.I. kinda game that takes place in the 1940's, and the development team took painstaking steps to ensure the L.A. of the 1940's is as humanly accurate as possible. They used local maps made by F.D.R.'s land development company and topography (aerial) maps. You will be able to rive down streets that no longer exsit. The store fronts will have items in the windows from that period. This is gonna be a revolutionary game.

Why revolutionary? (1) The new "animation" technology and (2) This is an investigation type game, not JUST a run-around-shoot'em-up-kill'em-all kinda game. For more convincing, go to: http://www.rockstargames.com/lanoire/ Also all information given here was reiterated from gameinformer magazine.

Two games are coming out this year that have promise to be the best games this decade. Rockstar (changed gaming forever with GTA III) has a new project debuting in September of this year: L.A. NOIR; and Quantic Dream is releasing HEAVY RAIN.

HEAVY RAIN may not be a video game in the sense that we all know, but it gurantees to change gaming in a way you would never expect. According articles I have read in popular gaming magazines, HEAVY RAIN will remind you more of a "choose your own adventure" book, an interactive movie even. You will take on a couple of roles (from what I understand) and in each role you will need to make decisions on how to react to people and situations, but here's th catch: EVERY decision you make will send a ripple through the gam in the way that each decision will cause the game to play out a different way. It is possible for NO TWO PEOPLE to walk away with the same experience or even the feeling of having played the same game. Some games you get to make choices in but they just bring you back to the storyline having only changed the one scene in which you make a choice. Quantic Dream says that YOU make the story because each choice takes you on a different line and no two people will experience he same thing. Go to www.QuanticDream.com for more info on this game, I promise that youwill be amazed at what this game will do.

I havent read much about L.A. NOIR yet, but apparently ROCKSTAR has improved on their GTA design to make an even better game. I will be doing a better review of both games soon.

I had mixed feelings about this title due to the fact I only liked the campaign mode on Battlefield: Bad Company (and hated the online multiplayer). That all changed after reading the write-up in this months gameinformer magazine by Matt Berz. "Though the campaign doesn't top the brilliant set pieces found in Modern Warfare, the drastic improvements bring it near the level of Infinity Ward's juggernaut."

That was at the end of his piece, but I think it's important to stress early that this installment will triumph over the last (and possibly even triumph MW2 for those of us that have had our fill of campers). Player Progression, Rankings, Squad Groupings (although you are likely to be on opposing teams from your buddies that you came in with), Unlockable Weapons, and HUGE Maps that allow you to attack via Land, Air, and Sea! Not to mention the buildings are destructable, so be careful of hiding inside because the walls may disappear and you will be a sitting duck!

You will also be rewarded with "an impressive array of Pins and Insignia to document your battlefield prowress" and "the Dog Tags return as boastworthy incentives to knife your enemies.". There is also a useful new tool known as the Spotting Mechanic (I expect it is like Rainbow Six Vegas offered); this helps improve communication by allowing players to mark enemy positions as they identify movement on the battlefield. The overpowered artillery from Bad Company has been replaced with a player-guided UAV (much like Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2) that allows you to track and mark enemy movements (like none other). BC2 will possibly have regenerative health this time around instead of a medic (the campaign mode definitely has regenerative health, so cross your fingers that they carry it over to multiplayer!). There will be two new "change-of-pace" modes: SQUAD RUSH - A four-player team in the role of attackers who must beat four defenders by destroying two crates. SQUAD DEATHMATCH - Four teams of four against each other in a battle for kill counts and bragging rights.

Bad Comany 2 has maps large enough that you won't encounter a ton of campers, and also enables for better teamwork, but on the downside a genius sniper position will be given away by the kill-cam. This is my favorite bit of info about the game: THEY FINALLY ADDED A HARDCORE MODE with limited HUD and increased damage!! For that reason alone I am excited more for the relase of BC2 than I am excited about PLAYING MW2.

BATTLEFIELD: BAD COMPANY 2 promises to be a better game than the last, and Matt Bertz's article in gameinformer #203 has made a believer outta me. I truly cant wait to play the new hardcore mode and I hope to see you there!

I recently got a game in game in through GAMEFLY.com (I strongly suggest this service for big gamers) titled: The Saboteur. I know many of you may feel that you've "had it up to here" with WWII games, but this one is really fun. It reminds me alot of The Godfather and Assassins Creed mixed with a little GTA. The basic premise (and bear with me b/c I dont pay attention to story lines) is that you are a (you guessed it) saboteur. This is the breakdown on the sleeve from Gamefly: "When rough-and-tumble Irish mechanic Sean Devlin visits Paris, it isn't the sights he's after. He's come to pick a fight. The Nazis have no idea what's about to hit them in this stylized, open-world WWII action saga. Slip into the seedy 1940s Parisian underground and swagger your way to revenge as a hero who's bold, brash, and truly excited about blowing things up. Work with the Resistance to undermine the Nazi efforts. Derail trains, implode buildings, and fight through occupied territory as if it... ..." thats all it says, sorry. I'll add my 2 cents now: I have so far only made it through a few missions and its a great game so far. Im having a blast with it. The world starts off in black&white with highlights of red at the Nazi areas and the blue on some of their uniforms, and its an amazing look. After I completed some of the missions it tells me that I now have the resistance? ( or towns people) on my side and they see me as a hero, but even neater is that the areas I "conquer" are now in color.........its weird the 1st time you drive from one part of town (in color) to another part of town thats B &W. I gotta admit though, I think the B&W areas are prettier.

I dont really have a lot to say about this game so far other than its visually pleasing (and even has nudity with a $3 download (or free when buying new @ gamestop) and its alot of fun. If you enjoyed The Godfather, Assassins Creed or Grand Theft Auto (any of them), then you'll most likely enjoy this game. It should also be an easy platinum trophy because you can do it on the easiest level as there is no trophy for easy, normal, hard and hardest difficulty settings (wish I woulda known that before hand) and pretty much all the trophies are ones you get for playing the game.....completed this mission or that, things you have to do anyway, there a couple that require you to max out your guns and perks, but they arent that hard either.

	I would give this game a 7 or 8 out of 10

some of the singers mouths dont move and stuff like that which why i would go as low as 7.

I will first focus on getting my medic equipment. I'm not sure if they fixed the kill/death ratio annoyance with the medic revival (if your shot down on to your back, it counts as a deah, and if you are revived and then killed again, that too counts as a death....same as in Killzone 2), so I'm not going to worry too much about my kill/deah ratio, but reviving teammates can mean the difference between completing an objective, or getting run over by the other team.

After that, I suppose I'm going all out assault.

I encourage everyone to at least get a healing medic gun.

So I came across this video on youtube:

Note that you do not get any of the titles or emblems when you do this hack, so if you wanted to see or if you wanted to prove to someone that you earned your 10th level presige legit...you can put those up on your card.

Personally, i think this is way UNCOOL, its called Prestige because its supposed to be Prestigious....and this just fuckin ruins it. If i were IW id BAN any account using this hack, or patch the servers so it can't be done, while also sending any account that used the hack back to a private.

This hack will not be allowed in our clan, using your primary names. If you want to do it, go ahead, just dont do it on your main name. It goes against our "Fair Play" policy.

I recently had a fantasy fulfilled, and I wanna share the experience with everyone......(get ya mind outta the gutter).....A friend of mine (some of you may know her as "the girl who doesnt wanna be seen on cam during chat rooms" ) turned me onto research company called L&E RESEARCH (www.leresearch.com) that was doing a survey on male video gamers. I took the phone survey (a lady asking me a buncha questions about video games and whether i have played, rented, or owned them etc,)and apparently i qualified to be their focus group. I (unknowingly) met the lead designer on GR: AW 3 (aka: Ghost Recon 3) and was one in a group of 6 that were the "1st people in the world" to play Ghost Recon 3. I suppose it was closer to an "ALPHA" build because it was nowhere near "BETA" value. The graphics were beautiful, but we were told not to pay attention to the graphics because they werent complete (which is astounding because it gorgeous). I could hear the birds and other insects chirping and whatever in the jungle I was in, and I could even hear the enemies and know their approximate location. If I was unsure of their location, however, I could use a new device called a "PROXIMITY SENSOR" which was cool as hell; it sends out an invisible laser senser in a 50 +- yard radius and detects the enemies (heat or heartbeat orsomething I guess) who show up on your screen silouhetted in red wherever they are (sometimes you cant tell if they're behind a building or in front of it though) which replaces the UAV recon from GR: AW 2 (which was visible in the sky and alerted the enemies who would promptly shoot it down).

Possibly the coolest feature though was the ability to call shots with your squad members. By aiming at the enemy in your scope and pressing the right shoulder button (XBOX 360) and that marks your target , then your squad "calls their shots" and it shows up onscreen as a small circle above their target's head with a triangle in it (yours has a circle with a cross-hair) and the ones not targeted have a circle with a colored-in upsidedown triangle (which allows you to plan your next shot better).

GR: AW 3 will also have an "MW2 - SPEC-OPS" type section also. I cant remember the name, but they claim you will never play the same mission on any map twice. Can you imagine! I played 3 or 4 different "SPEC-OPS" missions and two were on the same map (which was huge and open and alowed you more than just one set direction to access your objective) and, true to their word (thus far) neither mission was the same . I had to rescue hostages the 2nd time on the map, and the 1st time I had to destroy some communications things and other stuff then reach an extraction point (wonder if Ill end up doing either of those 2 missions on that same map after I buy the game and prove them wrong lol).

I used an M-16 which had single-shot and full-auto as options (though the triple burst was there, but not highlighted as an option). A grenade launcher and ACOG scope were attatched. I also had access to the before mentioned Proximity Sensors, Claymores, Grenades, an LAW (sorta like more compact JAVELIN), and Binoculars which allowed the option (from what I could see) to use an artillery bombardment, a hellicopter strike, and I forgot the other option I saw (maybe an airstrike), sorry!

The A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) was kinda lame and the only options as far as ordering your squad are: open fire, regroup, hold position (which still caused them to run out in front of you and compromise you sometimes), and go theere (by pointing and triggering). One other small cool thing was the ability stealth-kill-melee an enemy from behind (a prompt would show at the bottom of the screen telling you what button to press). Press the button and stab the guy in the back of the throat...I liked it. Too bad you couldnt melee on the fly though. Only if you sneak up behind the enemy and get the prompt without being detected. There is also a cover system which allows you to hide (and peek and/or shoot) behind objects and corners. No blind-fire though.

I did see the ability to create classes (looked like at least 8). There is no prompt to maneuver over objects, but by sprinting towards the object causes your character to climb/jump over the obstacle (it actually works very well, even when already standing next to it).

Overall I would give the game an 8 out of 10 based on what I played/experienced/learned and I also realize a lot of these things will be fixed during the continuing development of the game. No release date has been given yet, so Im quite sure many things will be better and work better. I mean its a Tom clancy game for cryin' out loud! You know its gotta meet some high standards and will definitely be a great experience and a worthy buy.

Did I mention I got paid a crisp brand new $100 bill at the end? Can you believe it?!?! Ive been anticipating this game ever since the 2nd installment and I just made c-note to be one of the 1st people in the world to play it and then help them with feedback in the focus group about what we felt needed adding or imrpovement and such! PLUS I met the lead designer for the game (at UBISOFT who also made ASSASSINS CREED 2 and the RAINBOW SIX series)......I dont know about yall, maybe Im just a geek, because it was incredible for me and if I had known the guy was who he was when I 1st met him, I woulda asked him for his autograph......I know, Ima geek......dont hate lol

Robert Bowling, the developer's creative strategist, says that server capacity is to blame, not the recent patch that shipped to address PS3 trophy and matchmaking bugs.

"It's a server overload not a bug in the code," Bowling wrote on his Twitter account, saying that a patch won't fix immediate multiplayer problems. "They're working to have servers back up ASAP." And by they, Bowling is referring to the third-party providers that host PlayStation 3 multiplayer traffic.

"Xbox Live servers are maintained and ran by Microsoft," Bowling explains. "PSN servers are ran and maintained by 3rd party companies hired to do so." He says that Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer "will be available as soon as Demonware gets the servers back online ASAP."

In the meantime, keep us up to date on your experience with the online portions of the game.

The newest installment to the NEED FOR SPEED series has been aptly titled SHIFT. Isay "aptly" because the NFS style has "shifted". I have been a serious fan of the NFS series ever since I played HOT PURSUIT. NFS is easily the arcadey equal to GRAN TURISMO'ssim-style racing. Hot PURSUIT gave an adrenaline rush matched by no other racing game at the time, and then HOT PURSUIT 2 hit the scene as a great sequel. With several games to follow (all but maybe 1 or 2 were BIG hits), EA finally dropped the proverbial ball when they released PRO STREET. The NFS franchise was already losing steam when they gave us CARBON, and PRO STREET followed by UNDERCOVER. These 3 games more than disappointed loyal fans (with PRO STREET being THE biggest cause of lost faith). EA took the time to actually figure out WHERE they went wrong, as well as learning what gamers were looking for (thanks to great titles like GRID and upcomers like SPLIT/SECOND and BLUR) and they developed the new SHIFT. SHIFT has beautiful graphics wrapped in truly fun gameplay. The mechanics and physics have been tweaked since the days of UNDERGROUND and MOST WANTED (possibly the 2 BEST of the series). Things seem a little more realistic, especially with the drifting (even though still arcade-style feeling, there is a wonderful blend of GRAN TURISMO experience).

I have no qualms in stating this game as the best to be released since MOST WANTED (in the NFS series, not all racing games). Depending on your skills in driving (Precision or Aggressive), you level up according to how you race. If you're a bully on the road, then you get races geared towards road bullies (such as the ELIMINATION races where if you're in last place at the end of the lap, you lose) or if you race with more finesse and calculated routes, then you get races geared more towards smooth line riders (like SPRINT races where you have to be the 1st to cross the finish line with no laps involved). In essence, the game conforms to your personal racing style so have a better experience and arent forced to participate in race styles that you are comfortable with. Some of us will, of course, play through more than once to experience both the AGGRESSIVE and PRECISION routes. Even more neat is the fact that you may start off leaning more towards one side than the other, but if your play style changes, then so will your gaming experience. I started off going the agressive route but now, I'm on the precision route. Once my skills changed from bumping into any- and everyone on the track to taking the quickest routes and slipping by (as opposed to sliding into) others, so did my game. It literally changed me from an AGGRESSIVE driver to a PRECISION driver, so now I have an Elimination race available along with my Sprint race (which is neat) based on the points I earned towards each driving style (based on your personal techniques, certain things earn points towards the 2 different stylings).

Is NEED FOR SPEED: SHIFT worth buying? Welllllll, it is definitely worthy of more than one play-through, and it's better than any other racing game available currently (although GRID is a great game also if you like racing) with the exception of BURNOUT (possibly the only true competition for NFS series).....I'd say it's worth owning if you arent a subscriber to GAMEFLY (where you can rent games and keep them for however long you want).

Now, you may have already heard that UNCHARTED 2 is a great game (possibly even one of the best games ever), but do you know the reasoning behind the hype? Chances are that you know quite a bit, but here are some things that you may not have heard about:

For instance: In multiplayer online, there are several different modes of gameplay (two are co-op). There is regular DEATHMATCH (AKA: FREE-FOR-ALL), and a few mixes of deathmatch and object/task oriented modes included also.

I recently played an online co-op match and had a blast. I was a BETA tester for the game before it became available as a public BETA, and I was interested in the co-op (I usually am), but I was not excited about the multiplayer deathmatches and such (until last night). I played a DEATHMATCH game last night after learning (through purchasing the bonus content) that you can REPLAY a video of your game! Not only are you able to watch (in BIRDSEYE view) the match following your character, but you can free roam the camera and watch (and learn the strategies of) others that you played against. I know that sounds cool to me (especially since this is the 1st PS3 game I have played featuring this addendum), but others may say "BAH! Other games do that", but did you know that you can share it and allow your buddi3s to d/l YOUR video and watch, and that you can take snapshots from any angle anywhere at anytime during the replay, and also that you can EDIT your video with such options as adding/changing FOG/FOG color/thickness, and there are other options as well (unfortunately I am at work and do not remember them all right now). I can't WAIT to PWN someone and replay it for my buddi3s and talk smack to whomever, and show off snapshots of me doing something fantastic (or someone else). This has a lot of potential to me.

There are multiple ways to upgrade your character (choosing different characters or character skins), your weapons (faster reloads, more power, more accuracy), and there are even 2 slots for perks to be added (they call them something other than perks, but you get the idea) such as BANDOLIER (more ammo), HIP FIRE (increased hip-fire accuracy) and lots more! Plus you can voice-chat during the game (which should be a standard for ANY online game in my opinion).

On to the campaign mode now. This has to the most beautiful game I've seen to date. The small nuances such as lip-syncing (which is AMAZING) has been redone (they're using the HAVOK engine instead of the the in-house created PROPRIETARY engine used on the 1st UNCHARTED) and the character models are of the best ever done. The amount of detail you notice throughout the game from a smirk to a twinkle of an eye to the way cinematics so seamlessly transition into/from gameplay (there is no difference in this game) and the way the environment reacts to what is happening on screen (the hanging lights and plants swaying violently after the wall is blown out by a tank) even the way the focus is done (clear and blurry focus based on what/where you're looking at, far or near, is just like in real life).

UNCHARTED 2 uses (admittedly) closer to 100% of the Playstation 3's power than any game made to date. NAUGHTY DOG has really outdone themselves with this game (seriously, just pay attention to details like leaves and grass blowing, snow dusting up around your feet as you walk, trails left in the snow, hair movement, lip movement (even the tongue) and how the characters clothing reacts to the environment and movement, the textures are unbelievable).

Is this game worth buying: Welllllllll, that really depends on your personal taste in games....would I recommend purchasing this game....hmmm, I bought it because I absolutely loved the 1st game and knew this one would be as great or better, but if you cant rent it to at least try it and see if you should buy it, then you dont know what youre missing!

I don't have a copy of the game for the Xbox 360 or PC, so I haven't been able to see if the same news is popping up on those games. If you have either, feel free to check it out and let us know in comments.

Since it's the PS3 version, which already has a limited playable Joker in it, what sort of content do you think gamers may be getting next week?

My money is on new challenge rooms.

We've contacted Warner Bros. to see if they can enlighten us.

The host migration feature mid-game seems useful, but annoying as hell.

And finally, throwing knives!

Everything from the level design to the combat system is pretty much spot on. I say pretty much because some of the aspects of the fighting aren't well thought out.

For one, its almost too easy to do a silent takedown. When the thugs arent terrified, they wont check their backs often, allowing you to follow them and creep up on them even when your moving pretty quickly, allowing you to get close enough to do a silent take down. This is understandable considering your a trained ninja, but I was able to do a silent take down on two guys standing right next to eachother, talking to eachother, without either one noticing the other was missing.

Then there are times when your going to have to take down a group of thugs, forcing you to engage them in hand to hand combat. This consists of four types of moves, mele attacks, counters, evades, and stuns. You'll have to learn each one of these because they are all necessary. If there is an armed thug, you must stun them, or grapple them off balance so they drop their weapon, but keep in mind, other thugs can pick up the dropped weapon and use it too. There are knife weilding thugs who are exellent at blocking, and some thugs carry tazers, and both of these types of thugs require you to stun them first before attacking them, or your attacks wont do any damage (if their blocking), or you will take greater damage getting stunned (if they have the tazer). This all sounds great, and it is, since it keeps you from button-mashing. But there is a downside...

Batman has special moves which you can use once you have achieved a combo streak (combos are achieved by getting every move you make to land or be used sucessfully....attempt to counter when no one is attacking, or attack and not have your fist land on a thug breaks the combo) of 8 (5 if you upgrade). But these special moves take away your ability to stun, evade, or counter....and if your combo breaks, you lose the ability to use them until you bring it back up to the required combo number. So you get takedown and throwing special moves, but the times you get to use them are slim, and even worse...when you do use them, they can take up to 4 seconds....which is a long time when your surrounded by 5 other thugs and have no way to defend yourself until the animation is over.

The story seems like its straight out of a comicbook arc, a very good thing. The boss fights are fun and make you want to play them over and over once you figure out the secret to them, and the voice acting is the best it can be (I never get tired of Batman's or Joker's voice). Some of the random cookie-cutter interations between Jokers taunts to the thugs over the loudspeakers and the thugs replies dont quite match up sometimes, which can take you out of the fantasy and reminds you that your playing a computer game which is nothing but computer programming, but all in all it is one of the most immersive video games youll find outside of Oblivion.

And the Scarecrows levels are some of the best gameplay moments Ive had...i'll be remembering them for years to come.

You don't get to drive the batmobile around at all, but it and the batwing make an appearance, so thats good.

The Riddlers challenges are indeed challenging without using the secret maps, so if you really want an old school challenge, dont pick up any maps with a green question mark on them.

With all these great things about the game, in the end...its a RENT.

I say it's a rent because its a single player game, with a linear path, and a difinitive ending. The challenge modes are only good for mindless thug fighting, which will get old fast, and the pretator mode which pits you in a Metal Gear Solid type game where you sneak around taking out armed thugs without them seeing you as quickly as possible. The Joker's DLC is worth playing as just to see his little quirks, such as his cocky/funny walk, and his comical x-ray glasses, but it's only funny the first time.

Once you play the story, unlock everything, and find all the hidden items and challenges, you'll find yourself back on CoD.

The Bottom Line:

It's a great game that you owe it to yourself as a gamer to play and experience, but it's not worth paying full price for when your only going to play thru it once or twice, and then never again. Gamefly It.

http://clan9mm.com/forums/?page=post&id=23855554-3A48-4301-998F-C66FF9143281

http://clan9mm.com/forums/?page=post&id=23855554-3A48-4301-998F-C66FF9143281
