I recently got a game in game in through GAMEFLY.com (I strongly suggest this service for big gamers) titled: The Saboteur. I know many of you may feel that you've "had it up to here" with WWII games, but this one is really fun. It reminds me alot of The Godfather and Assassins Creed mixed with a little GTA. The basic premise (and bear with me b/c I dont pay attention to story lines) is that you are a (you guessed it) saboteur. This is the breakdown on the sleeve from Gamefly: "When rough-and-tumble Irish mechanic Sean Devlin visits Paris, it isn't the sights he's after. He's come to pick a fight. The Nazis have no idea what's about to hit them in this stylized, open-world WWII action saga. Slip into the seedy 1940s Parisian underground and swagger your way to revenge as a hero who's bold, brash, and truly excited about blowing things up. Work with the Resistance to undermine the Nazi efforts. Derail trains, implode buildings, and fight through occupied territory as if it... ..." thats all it says, sorry. I'll add my 2 cents now: I have so far only made it through a few missions and its a great game so far. Im having a blast with it. The world starts off in black&white with highlights of red at the Nazi areas and the blue on some of their uniforms, and its an amazing look. After I completed some of the missions it tells me that I now have the resistance? ( or towns people) on my side and they see me as a hero, but even neater is that the areas I "conquer" are now in color.........its weird the 1st time you drive from one part of town (in color) to another part of town thats B &W. I gotta admit though, I think the B&W areas are prettier.
I dont really have a lot to say about this game so far other than its visually pleasing (and even has nudity with a $3 download (or free when buying new @ gamestop) and its alot of fun. If you enjoyed The Godfather, Assassins Creed or Grand Theft Auto (any of them), then you'll most likely enjoy this game. It should also be an easy platinum trophy because you can do it on the easiest level as there is no trophy for easy, normal, hard and hardest difficulty settings (wish I woulda known that before hand) and pretty much all the trophies are ones you get for playing the game.....completed this mission or that, things you have to do anyway, there a couple that require you to max out your guns and perks, but they arent that hard either.
I would give this game a 7 or 8 out of 10
some of the singers mouths dont move and stuff like that which why i would go as low as 7.
